2005-12-23 - 9:22 a.m. i've got the spirit What’s up weepy mcweepsalot? What’s up 2004 word making up? I drove to work today. In the borrowed car I have for driving out of town. It’s important that I stop at the mojo candle store after work and pick up some supplies for some peeps. We can all use a candle burned for us for something, right? A little boost never hurt anything. As I was driving, I had on the public radio station and they told the story of this woman who moved to the states from the Philippines and how every year she sends a package back home to her family. All of her family is back there including a nephew who has cerebral palsy. He is 8 and cannot talk or walk or sit in a chair on his own strength. This year her box included some M&Ms and clothing and a special chair designed for her nephew. Even as she’s speaking about him, her demeanor changes and she gets weepy. He has a special place in her heart, she says. The program followed the box to the small town in the Philippenes where her family lives and they recorded them opening this box with the special chair for her nephew. Her mother recorded a teary thank you message for her daughter. And I totally lost it in the car! What the crap!? Crybaby. Anyways, have a nice long weekend everybody.
