I'm sure you were(n't) wondering

It’s all mixed up in my head. To recap:

Turns out I am not a Fiery Furnaces fan. Particularly Eleanor and the hair I wish to push out of her face and the smile I’d like to put on it instead. She is so too cool. And call me fashion-challenged, but I don’t care who you are, but baby diarrhea-colored pants tucked into ankle boots is hot on just about no one. I know. I have no idea about style, whatevs.

If this is style, let me be bedazzled sweater lady from the Internet. Forevah.

It’s probably I just don’t get it, like I don’t get most things. I don’t get a lot of things and I’ve grown tired pretending I actually like the rest of the things I really don’t.

Friday I woke up with a nasty cold and had to drive almost 5 hours to my mom’s house. The weekend was fun in her small little town along the Mississippi. We had a fire in her hillbilly fire pit until 2 a.m., drove down gravel roads and waited an hour and a half in line for the haunted hayride. Later in true hillbilly style, we went to the gambling boat where I had to decide it was time to go at 1:30 when I noticed I was out of Kleenex.

I’m still not having a condo yet. I’m so ready to sit on my own couch in my own space and crochet something I will never use and listen to my music and not feel I am imposing or bored to the core.
