it's almost never too early for tragedy humor
Alright so for starters, cletus the spederfetus is arriving soon. God help us.
My boy had another birthday last weekend. We ate a bunch of really yummy pasta and then met the peeps at this great Polish bar. Dude working the bar bought us so much booze. Then we went to a show at the Bottle and I had a crush on LP that night. He got a really sweet distortion pedal from yours truly. It has “muff” in the name! Agggh it makes me giggle every time!
Last night after getting more setbacks than I can handle about my upcoming move into my condo, I met LP at the Gingerman and then we went to cheer on those silly Changes next door. Then after we just went to the back areas and had beer and sat on couches that were like state-issued living room furniture from Santa Fe circa 1990. Is it bad etiquette to not watch the headlining band? I think maybe. But cb was juggling fruit and this pretty girl was tipping backwards all the way over in her chair and we heard a good ghost story, and I didn’t want to watch them anyways.
Are you ready for a Katrina joke?
Too bad.
Q: What is Bush’s stance on Roe vs. Wade?
A: He doesn’t care how the hell the people get out of New Orleans.
Thanks to the boy for that bit of comedy genius.
LP’s man is on tour with the Changes (god I am like a stalker????) she is having empty nest syndrome but then I think my man leaves on Sunday or sumpthin’ to go to Houston to help out displaced hurricane folk. And I am a stick in the mud!
Update! Boy just got word his trip is cancelled. 2 hours after having booked his ticket. Damn.
