2005-10-13 - 11:18 a.m. dude looks like a lady Northsiders generalize about Southsiders and their perceived lack of education and culture. And Southsiders hate Northsiders for whatever reasons they have. This translates into Sox vs. Cubs really. And I hate to generalize but it's hard, oh so hard, when the person next to me at the crazy controversial game last night is everything people say about Sox fans. It'd be like sitting next to a dude at Wrigley wearing the faux-worn, bill bent in half Abercrombie hat picking up your girlfriend sitting right next to you in a sexy PBR-induced slur, not knowing what inning it was. Or caring, either. This person next to me had long, frizzy 80s hair band hair stuffed under a generic adjustable cotton baseball cap. Black jeans that were too big for this person's scrawny frame. Some car manufacturer jacket on. Their face was wrinkly and sunken, their voice was raspy and crackly. And they were wasted. And I was unsure the gender of this person, but I decided it was a woman. And then later they said to me their wife just gave them a look, so they better put the beer down. So by the 6th I was pretty sure it was a dude. Huh.
