Just be open to it, dude

Friday LP & I had the most fun with most of the boys from teh changes. First she & I found ourselves mesmerized by the owner of our new favorite old man bar. He wooed us with stories of growing up in Uptown & Edgewater in the 40s & 50s when people had class and went ballroom dancing still.

Then we went to our bud’s apartment where the boys got us drunk but the joke was on them b/c they got tricked into going dancing with us. We climbed in bulldozers and shook our tail feathers and finally ended up at the end of the night at another destination where LP’s dude was DJing and before I knew it, it was last call.

It was all unplanned and just made up and we didn’t try to have the most fun, we just did! And so begins the time of being open to anything and everything.

For example, I totally got a pair of pants from Express this weekend. Express, you guys! Except for the Katie Holmes blue silk shirt I got for my Halloween costume the other week, this purchase was the first one since probably high school that came from Express. And they’re cute! And fit me nicely! The old not open to anything me never would’ve gone in there. But the new, open-minded me did. See what happens when you are open?

I happen to have them on today. And people are asking me if I have an interview or a hot date. A hot date, I tell them, it’s the 3rd year of sucking face for the boy and I.

But I love how my dressing like an adult at work is totally suspect! Geez.

It’s the 6th or so week of homelessness for me, and other than listening to “Maps” & this other song by my new pals on repeat like a bipolar person who is in a manic phase who also has OCD, I’m basically ok.
