2007-08-08 - 10:36 p.m. who is sporty spice, guys? Wednesday volleyball ended tonight & due to a glitch in the system we ended at 7 & 13. We really only won 2. Next up, softball. The Skylark Bears, us, won our first game evarh & there was much rejoicing. When asked by my friend to join the team, I was up front about it & told him I was the girl who sat close to the neighboring gas station parking lot during the softball unit in high school & looked for four leaf clovers. My record was four in one class period. I struck out or walked every time for fear of having run in front of the boys in class. He said I was a perfect fit for this misfit group of players. And so I play. Catch every other inning & my first at bat I got a hit! It was fun. Last night we silk screened tshirts which have a hilarious logo of a skylark crash landing, I assume just inches short of the base. We also wear blue & gold striped knee socks & gold shorts. We don't play well but we look keeeewl. So hollr, right? October I'm going to Vegas for a friend's wedding. She's straight up getting married on a pirate ship. They met at my work. Awh. I've never been and neither has the lovely boyfriend so it's a good excuse. I think I'll hate it but my big plans to camp out at the pool for 10 hours a day keep me looking forward to it. Oh, totes watched Yok0 OhNO at Pfork & holy I understand she is important and was married to the undeniably the most famous man in the world ever, even more than Jesus I reckon, but I totally don't get her stuff. Bless her heart for her message & energy & drive. She's almost a parody of herself. Her own SNL skit I hope it stops raining so I can ride my bike.
